Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Today I watched a bunch of videos on how to tie the FG knot and decided to give it a try. At first, I was having some trouble, but then I realized what I was doing wrong. You don't need to pull real tight on the braid off the rod. In fact, it makes it harder to get the coils to line up on the leader if you put too much tension on the braid. Another thing I was doing wrong was not letting go with my left hand pinch of the line and leader as you pull the leader tag tight. Once I got that down, I was doing them pretty well and fast.

I definitely like how the leader passes through the guides with whole knot without a hitch.
